Windows 95 Setup Switches

Setup switches from DOS:

 

/IS Disables Scan disk from running.

/ID Doesn’t check for disk space.

/IM Ignore conventional memory check.

/IL Install Logitech series C mouse driver.

/IQ Disable cross-link hard disk check.

/C Don’t load Smartdrv.

/T: <path> Location of temporary setup files.

<Batch filename> path to setup option batch file.

Setup switches from Windows:

 

Setup Options: SETUP [batch] [/T:tmpdir] [/im] [/id] [/is] [/iq] [/in]

 

<batch> Specifies the name and location of the file that contains the Setup options. Used without /.

/T:tmpdir Specifies the directory where Setup will copy its temporary files.

If the directory doesn't exist, it will be created. WARNING: Any existing files in this directory will be deleted.

/im Skips the memory check. Work-around for systems with marginal memory.

/id Ignores the disk-space check. Work-around as above.

/is Skips the routine system check. Work-around for clones.

/iq Skips the check for cross-linked files. Used with /is.

/in Runs Setup without the Network Setup module.

/? Help

Note: The /n and /a options are no longer valid. Use NETSETUP.EXE instead.
